·  Estimated and managed installation of Steril-Aire UVC germicidal emitters inside building HVAC units for building owners (schools, hospitals, office buildings, etc…) to improve indoor air quality and to minimize employee absenteeism due to sickness.

·  Provide limited management to hydronic pump service technician.

Note:

I made the difficult decision to close down business operations of Water & Air HVAC Products Inc. due to a very competitive industry that no longer allowed adequate mark up of equipment cost to cover the company overhead and provide a reasonable gross profit.

 

Rademaker Corporation:                                                  January 1, 2006 – October 31, 2009

President of the Building Automation, Electrical Contracting and the Engineered Equipment (Manufacturer’s Representative) operating divisions of Rademaker Corporation

·  Report to the CEO on monthly financial performance of the three operating divisions.

·  Responsible for daily coordination with the Vice President of Finance on all financial matters regarding the three operating divisions.

·  Worked with the CEO and Vice President of Finance to complete yearly employee evaluations.

·  Led planning and implementation of employee drug screening process.

·  Established requirement that any employee injured on the job would receive a urine drug screening as part of the company policy.

Note:

The CEO of Rademaker Corporation made the decision to sell the Building Automation division and the Electrical Contracting division to Comfort Systems USA (a nationwide mechanical and building automation controls contractor).  This transaction was completed in October 2009.  The Engineered Equipment Division was not a part of the purchase by this company.  The CEO and I agreed that I would establish a new company with a new name and would own and manage this manufacturer’s representative business.

 

Rademaker Corporation:                                                   October 2003 – March 2007

Safety Coordinator for the Building Automation, Electrical Contracting and Engineered Equipment divisions of Rademaker Corporation

·  Supervise company and OSHA records that relate to safety in our facility and at various work sites in Kentucky and Indiana.

·  The maintaining of all “personal information” in a secure file with limited access.

·  Work with our workers compensation insurance provider to obtain safety material such as pamphlets and videos to be used as training material for employees at the annual safety meeting at our facility.

·  Communicate with our workers compensation insurance provider when an injury had occurred in order to verify the injury took place while the employee was working and verify insurance coverage would pay for the cost of treatment.

·  Completed a detailed “Employee Safety Training Program” manual that was given to each employee and each employee was provided training in the manual safety contents.

·  Complete monthly OSHA injury report logs and post logs in common locations in our facility for all employees to read and review.  Ensure that safety logs and other safety forms are placed inside equipment gang boxes, stored on site, at all active construction job sites Rademaker Corporation employees worked on.

·  Provide annual employee safety meeting to review and remind all employees of the importance of safety on the job.  Reviewed common sense procedures with all employees to follow in limiting the chance for injuries.

·  Provide unannounced on-site inspection visits of multi-week duration jobs.  Checked all equipment such as power tools, electrical cords, ladders, fire extinguishers to make sure each was in “good” working order.  Removed equipment that needed to be repaired (such as a tool power cord) or needed to be replaced.

·  Supervised scheduling of weekly “Toolbox Safety Meetings”.

·  Coordinate with Building Automation and Electrical Contracting division managers to assure that all company safety policies were followed by employees on a monthly basis.

 

Note:

Another employee of Rademaker Corporation was given the position of “Safety Coordinator” so that Aaron Wooden could focus more of his time to complete his other responsibilities as President of Rademaker Corporation.  I was responsible to manage the position of Safety Coordinator until October 31, 2009.
